Announcements #2 – Northern European Trade Lane – April GRI
Effective April 1st, 2017, there will be a General Rate Increase (GRI) for containers from Northern European Sea Ports to North America due to the fact that vessels on the North Atlantic are fully booked already two-three-four weeks in advance depending on the carrier, and, in addition, there will be three new alliances effective April 1st with changes regarding capacity, schedules and services. Many carriers call the GRI by another name, such as, Peak Season Surcharge or New Price List but the result is the same – GRI.
